Went here for an early lunch yesterday (Friday). The rolls were flat, I mean like pancakes. We had to wait almost an hour to be served our dinner, which was delicious. I had the grilled steak salad, which was cooked just right. Our server told us they were down 2 staff, and she was quite apologetic about the wait. Will probably go back, but not on a Friday.

Were there at 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday, so we expected quite a wait. Have to say the staff did a good job of seating us quickly. But dinner took nearly two hours, as we waited and waited and waited for our entrees. And when they came, two steaks were right but one was waaaaayyyy overcooked. So we waited and waited and waited for another one to be served. Our bill was timestamped 8:22. Considering we waited less than ten minutes to be seated -- you do the math. Fried pickles were divine, as were the tanglers. But I wouldn't recommend the potato skins, as they were really full of potato and cheese, and completely skimpy on bacon and chives. I'd try them again, but not on a Saturday night -- they can't handle it.

Hubby and I went here on our honeymooniversary. Yes, you did read that correctly, we go on a trip annually to celebrate our anniversary that coincides with our anniversary and is around the same time as was our original honeymoon...hence the name. Anyway, we actually went to Colton's twice during our honeymooniversary. The first trip was AMAZING! The waiter was attentive without being too attentive. We had peanuts while waiting for the salads. I forgot to ask for my dressing on the side, but it was still wonderful! My sirloin steak was prepared exactly the way I requested...and the baked potato was not huge, but was just the right size for me without being too much. Between all that food and the rolls, which were delicious, I definitely did not leave hungry! As the waiter heard it was our anniversary and we were too full to have dessert, he brought us a complimentary bag of roasted peanuts. It was such a great gesture! The second time we went the food was still great, but the waitress was not nearly as impressive as the waiter had been on our previous trip. In fact, she was a little underwhelming with her skills. It was almost like she couldn't be bothered to check in on us. Overall, I would definitely try it again even though we had a not so great waitress on the second experience!

Food was good, my waiter was iffie. yeast rolls and roasted peanuts abound...always willing to bring more. I love dearest salad and theirs was horrible and soaked thru.

We've seen several of these restaurants around Missouri and Arkansas and, since our good friends share a name with the joint, the four of us had to go check it out. The hostess greeted us politely and escorted us to a booth with a bucket of peanuts. Our server promptly brought water and hot rolls. She answered all of our questions, took our orders and quickly delivered drinks. Several of the reviews for this place haven't been so hot so I was a bit apprehensive. But everything was served quickly, meat was cooked to order and tasty. Not great, but pretty good. Colton's did not impress me so much that I will hurry back but it was okay.

When I first walked into Colton's, I thought, what am I getting myself into. The atmosphere is REALLY country. I thought I had stepped back in time out I. The wild west. However, once you get seated and start eating, the food is delicious. Their rolls were hot and fresh and top notch, and their chicken fried chicken is tender and REAL meat. Their fried okra and baked potatoes are old too. Service was very friendly. The atmosphere could use some "brightening" up as it is a little "strange", but once you get in there, the food is definitely outstanding.

Okay, so I expected something similar to my favorite chain restaurant, Texas Roadhouse, after looking at Colton's website and menu. The theme and decor met that expectation - with buckets of peanuts and shells scattered about the floor. However, the comparison stops there and I was sorely disappointed. Food: My Caesar salad's dressing tasted watered down (although I did like that they add red onions to this salad!). My steak was overcooked (I asked for medium and it was barely pink at all). And the grilled shrimp and rice lacked flavor. The only saving grace was the free warm buttered rolls. Also, I had a coupon for a free appetizer, but we were staying at a hotel and so I couldn't print it out. I know it says on the coupon that it must be printed, but let's get with the times here (they wouldn't let us use it via my phone)! Although my mom and sister seemed to enjoy their meals (burgers), I left feeling disappointed. Don't bother unless you're desperate - and then, settle for their burger.

Never again!! Had ribs and catfish combo-ribs had no seasonings, not even salt and pepper-catfish was just horrible. Waiter didn't care. Paid my bill and left.

I know it's a chain but I love Colton's! I'm a loyal fan of the ribeye dinner. It's always juicy and cooked perfectly. The salads are great and topped with freshly grated cheese. The baked sweet potato is awesome. The rolls are fluffy and hot. It's a great place to eat when you're in the mood for some red meat!

After waiting 30 mins for our food, my steak which I order "medium" arrived luke warm and my side of sauté mushrooms were ice cold, however my fries were straight from the frier. After sending my food back and waiting another 25 mins, my steak arrived medium rare, my sauté mushroom were warm and my fries were cold. Disappointing experience. Only gave it a 2 star because my wife enjoyed her food otherwise it would have been a 1 star.

YUM Food was DEEEEEEEEELICIOUS! I got a big steak with a salad and baked potato and my mom got the steak and shrimp with a salad and potato, and we had the whiskey break pudding for dessert The price was very reasonable. About 30 or 35 bucks if I remember correctly. The girls who seated us were super friendly, our waiter was greeeat, and the service was FAST. THE ONLY COMPLAINT.....we got stuck in a booth with a family on both sides of us. Both of them had 2 screaming children who were in desperate need of a good beating. The little girls who were behind me kept messing with my hair and the kids behind my mom kept jumping up and down in the booth. There was a swarm of misbehaved children in the same dining room as us, but we just bit our tongues and got out of there as fast as we could. Of course, this has nothing to do with the restaurant, it's just an observation....

Never again! Overpriced, VERY, VERY SLOW, old like a firetrap, so so steaks. Host acted like he was so proud of the place and we were Hollywood stars. I thought Outback put this ancient dump out of business.

Service was quick and friendly. The menu has many options and reasonable prices; the steaks are available in many different sizes. The bread (cones with meal) is amazing, as is the rest of the food. Just a tip: to avoid the wait, sit in the bar area.
